“One of the Top Ten Guitarists in the World” – Music Taster’s Choice

Anthony Gomes, #1 Billboard Blues Artist, is a triple threat force as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. This, along with his high-energy shows and dynamic stage presence, make him one of the top draws on the Rock/Blues circuit today.

He has been creating burning blues since his recorded debut in 1998. 12 releases and numerous awards later, his latest album, Electric Field Holler, crackles with bare wire passion. The aptly-named, riff-laden Electric Field Holler has received highly acclaimed recognition; reaching #1 on both Roots Music Report’s Blues Rock Chart and ReverbNation’s Global Blues Chart, as well as earning several nominations for Blues Rock Album of the Year.

He has headlined concerts in 17 countries and has had the honor of sharing the stage with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Alice Cooper, Jonny Lang, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Anthony Gomes also founded the Music is the Medicine Foundation in 2010; a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the lives of others through the healing power of music. Through private donations and grants, the foundation has funded songwriting scholarships, donated listening stations to St. Jude’s Hospital for children undergoing cancer treatments, and most recently donated a Music Therapy Studio to Montreal General Hospital. Without passion there is no music; Anthony Gomes gets it… on so many levels!

Anthony will be showcasing songs from his latest release as well as performing fan favorites from past albums. Gomes sings and plays with integrity and deeply felt emotion oblivious to fortune and fashion. The resulting music is a blazing cathartic experience radiating therapeutic heat for body and soul.

Adam Johnston Band

ADAM JOHNSTON
Adam Johnston, born April 20th, 1990, is a guitarist who’s sound is heavily influenced by iconic bands from the 60’s movement like Jimi Hendrix , The Who, Sly & the Family Stone, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd , and many more. His roots began in Blues, Rock, Funk, and Soul music, ripping his licks from guitar gods such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton, & Hendrix. He spent years ‘cutting his teeth’ covering songs by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, The Meters, Jimi’s Band of Gypsies, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and many more before forging his own distinct sound. His original music has evolved to embrace the sound of modern Funk, Disco, Jazz, Progressive Rock, and EDM. Its driven by heavy bass, pocket drums, gritty synths/organs, soulful vocals & soaring guitar riffs that deliver the full spectrum of sound. Pumping out infectious dance grooves mixed tastefully with ear-candy covers for an experience that unites both Musicians and Music Lovers alike.

The Adam Johnston Band will be at Krave Live Music Emporium following the Professors & MaryAnn.

Liz Moriondo w/Fishing for Saturday

Back to School Show! “Kids Start the School Season; Parents Celebrate Freedom!” August 18th Doors at 5:30 | Show at 6:30PM | Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of.

The Show will kick off with Fishing for Saturday, a group of young musicians playing rock and pop music, based here in Springfield, Missouri, studying at Pellegrino’s School of Music and Art.

Liz Moriondo is a singer, a guitar player, a songwriter, a dreamer. Her dynamic voice is a force of nature. Just give her an audience and you’ll witness a young woman doing exactly what she was born to do. She’s always had the biggest of the big sky plans. She was either going to play professional basketball, be on the Supreme Court, or sing country music. Country music won out.

You can’t miss Liz on the web. She’s got her “Kitchen Concert Series” on YouTube and Facebook, where she reinterprets country and pop cover songs with her own distinct sassy but soulful style. One of the performances, a parody cover of Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass, has been viewed well over 12 million times across all platforms. You can also see Liz on TV shows like Lunkerville (The World Fishing Network and NBC Sports) and on Spiritual Outdoor Adventures (The Hunt Channel and The Pursuit Channel) where the pretty blue-eyed Missourian can be seen reeling in big-mouthed bass and shooting white-tailed deer.

Onstage, Liz is 5 feet, 7 inches of total commitment. Her carefully-curated live show zig-zags from red-dirt to country-soul to Stonesy rock, with Liz driving her top-notch touring band with joyous abandon. Liz is a favorite on the NASCAR circuit, burning up stages at the speedways at Bristol, Charlotte, New Hampshire, Michigan, Texas, and Kentucky.
